Liz Winters Wellness, a company dedicated to judgement free education and support for people in pregnancy and in postpartum. We serve our clients with compassion, honesty, and a belief that there’s no one right way to parent. Everything that we produce is to serve others– be it through our free content, our coaching programs, and classes. On our website, we create lifestyle content such as recips, workouts, clean living, and articles related to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
We are hiring a Marketing assistant to support Liz, the CEO and founder, in the content creation aspect of her business.
– Contracted Position (1099)
– Starting at 10-15 hours per month with room to grow
– Compensation starting at $20-25 an hour
– Preference is based in US or Canada
– you love details
– you have both a creative side and an analytical side
– you are organized an love PM software (or can learn it)
– you’re passionate about health and well being
– you’re excited to support a small business
– you aren’t afraid of swear words (we keep it real)
– you love marketing
– you appreciate the brand’s approach to supporting those in pregnancy and postpartum– honesty (like we aren’t going to sugar coat it and say breastfeeding is the easiest and you will just instinctively know how to breastfeed), no judgement and empowering people to make the best decisions for themselves and their families
– you enjoy doing the work that feels aligned (you’re driven to do great work, especially for a company that you can believe in and get behind)
– you love Instagram and Pinterest
– the idea of optimizing SEO makes you happy (you know because there’s some logic to the madness and it can be like a puzzle)
– you enjoy writing and storytelling (no, we aren’t anticipating a lot of copywriting here as we’re using Liz’s original content, but we still think this is important for this position)
– you love using systems and following the game plan
– you have an eye for design and an interest in doing light graphic work in Canva
– did we mention details? You proofread everything before sending it off
–** if you don’t know SEO or all of the softwares, you love learning new softwares and enjoy using logic to problem solve
General:
– attend monthly team content meetings
– use Asana for task management and mark off completed tasks
Blog Content Creation Assisting in WordPress:
– Taking blog copy from google doc and formatting into a wordpress blog post
– Proofreading content
– Optimizing SEO and readability in wordpress (with the help of the Yoast Plugin)
– Add alt text to the image in wordpress
– Schedule blog content in wordpress to be published per editorial calendar
Newsletter + Social Media Support:
– creating images in Canva using templates for instagram content
– select photos for instagram posts (using a photo library of branded photos)
– Scheduling instagram posts in Tailwind
– Creating images in Canva using templates for Pinterest Pins
– Schedule pinterest pins in Tailwind
– Pin Liz Winters Wellness blog content onto Pinterest
– Proofread and Schedule newsletter content into FloDesk
BONUS:
– Edit photos in Lightroom (typically food photos for recipe blog posts)
WordPress (for blog posts and optimizing SEO of blog content via Yoast plugin)
