Ghostwriter & Recipe Developer
Overview
Reporting to the CEO, Christine, you’ll be responsible for taking a recipe from start to finish – from the development and collaboration to cooking the meal itself, to photographing the steps (and the result!), and writing the full recipe and blog post that goes with it. To thrive in this role, you’re someone who loves cooking, testing recipes, and tasting what you’ve come up with – you’re highly collaborative and are involved in the online cooking world enough to know what current trends are happening. You’ll be working with Christine closely and with the Content Manager and Marketing team to come up with recipes and see them through. You will be the main cooking creative force behind the blog – you will be strategizing recipes and executing them so that Christine can run other aspects of the company.
- Time Commitment: 40 hours/week, flexible schedule
- Compensation: $20-25/hour
- Benefits: PTO: vacation days, paid company holidays, and paid personal days
- Location: Central Florida, anywhere in or around Orlando down to Miami In-person
- Status: This role is a full-time employee role. You must be available to be employed by our company and legally eligible to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Developing different recipes depending on trends in the online cooking space
- Cooking the recipes created in collaboration with other team members (COOKtheSTORY will provide money for ingredients)
- Photographing recipes as you cook them (the steps as well as the end result) to go on the blog ultimately
- Writing out the full recipe and blog post (per Christine’s SOPs/standards) to be uploaded onto the website along with the photos
- Working closely with Christine to strategize the next recipe and planning what will go on the website when
- Staying on top of trends in the food industry and creating recipes according to what’s trending
- Taking recipe instructions and planning out content, working in tandem with the Content Manager
- Making and cooking 5-10 recipes per week that can be photographed
- Creating new and unique recipes and presenting them to Christine and the Content Manager
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure content is cohesive
- Producing recipe videos when necessary
- Occasionally commuting to Christine’s house in Florida to cook several recipes with Christine, including going grocery shopping, taking photos during the process of all recipes, and cleaning up the kitchen once finished
- Coming up with different cooking tips and ideas that can go on the blog separate from recipes
