More Cheese Please, the parent company behind the successful recipe sites, COOKtheSTORY and The Cookful, and Recipe of the Day and Time Management Insider podcasts, is looking for a full-time, remote Marketing Designer and Social Media Manager with food writing experience to manage the company’s overall marketing strategy, create social media graphics and food-centric social media copy, and manage their social media strategy/planning/scheduling/posting.
This position reports to the CEO and requires a deep knowledge and love of cooking, whether self-taught or professionally trained, and an understanding of how to describe, translate, and promote recipes, blog posts, food programs, and videos via written and visual social media content for their brands’ target audiences in ways that educate, entertain, and build brand trust and awareness.

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will use their expertise in marketing, design, and food writing to collaborate with the CEO, recipe development, and content teams to create the overall marketing strategy for each of the brands and promote brand awareness, community engagement, programs, promotions, recipes, and podcasts.
Solid experience in food copywriting and graphic design is a must, with advanced Canva Pro experience and basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. In addition, the ideal candidate must be well-versed in Facebook Business Suite, creating and posting social media ads, and using and navigating all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok, as well as being familiar with scheduling programs like Later, Tailwind, or Buffer.
Experience in analyzing and reporting social media metrics is a plus.
- Time Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Compensation: $25-$30 per hour

Responsibilities
Social Media Management:
- Develop social media strategy based on overall marketing strategy
- Create and maintain editorial and content calendars for marketing and social media
- Repurpose blog content to promote programs, promotions, recipes, and podcasts on social media channels
- Use Canva and Adobe CC to create graphics that align with the different brands for all social media platforms
- Interact with online community, replying to comments, posts, and DMs, and engaging with similar accounts, and collecting follower feedback on all social channels
- Use recipe videos and other sources to create and edit social media videos for social platforms
- Write copy aligned with the brand voice, appropriate for various platforms
- Bring fresh and innovative ideas and recommendations to stay up to date with the social media marketing strategy
Marketing and Brand Strategy:
- Develop and implement overall marketing strategy for More Cheese Please brands
- Maintain brand standards and suggest updates and edits based on target audience asks/wants/needs
- Create and implement the strategy for podcast and recipe site promotion
- Track and analyze social media and Google metrics, update marketing strategy as needed
- Research trends, implement fast-action plans for trend participation
Podcast promotion (Time Management Insider and Recipe of the Day):
- Create graphics for new podcast episodes based on show notes and recipe guides
- Post audiograms on social media with an understanding of peak traffic times on different platforms
- Post original podcast promotions to COOKtheSTORY social media and sharing promotions on The Cookful accounts
- Schedule all group posts for each Recipe of the Day podcast episode
Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborating with team members, actively participating in meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Bringing to life team ideas and creative direction
- Communicating the status of projects to the team
The Ideal Candidate…
- Has substantial experience in the culinary world – you have had your own food blog, you follow and regularly interact with influencers in the industry, and/or have professional culinary training/experience
- Thrives and is highly communicative in a remote environment
- Enjoys autonomy but values collaboration
- Is an expert in using Canva for graphics
- Has 3-5 years of social media and graphic design experience
- Has 3-5 years of food writing experience
- Has 3-5 years of marketing experience
- Enjoys creating your own workflow with the consideration of your team members
- Is full of ideas and love to collaborate with a team of highly creative people and execute new projects quickly
- Is able to successfully translate data from analytics and simplify it in a way that is easy for someone without experience to understand
- Is experienced in writing persuasive copy for different social platforms and understand how to change your tone per platform etiquette
- Is passionate about building brand awareness across multiple platforms
- Is highly collaborative – you’re excited to strategize with other people and work with the blog content creators to coordinate strategies
- Welcomes feedback and are quick to implement it in your work
